	Maryborough Highland Gathering 1 January 2008 Street parade photos courtesy of John Almond.	The 2008 Maryborough Highland Gathering on 1 January was extremely hot - the morning street parade temperature was about 36 degrees, hence our band wore summer dress rather than our traditional full dress for the parade. By 5pm it had risen to 43 degrees. The final massed bands parade at the oval had to be shortened due to the temperatures.
